What Luna stores

We use your phone number to sign you in: Luna texts a one-time sign-in link to the number you enter, and opening that link is what authenticates you. Your profile contains your first name, interests, optional photo and neighborhood, eligibility confirmation, and notification preferences. We also store plan attendance, group messages, check-ins, feedback, reports, and moderation records. When you send feedback from the app, we attach the page you were on, your screen size, browser and language so we can reproduce what you saw; if you later delete your account, the note stays but is no longer linked to you.

Text messages

Luna texts from (475) 619-1400 in two separate ways, described in full in our SMS terms. Sign-in texts are one-time messages you request by entering your number on the website; requesting one does not subscribe you to anything else. Conversations begin only when you text Luna first; by doing so you agree to replies, follow-ups about the plan you’re discussing, and occasional plan suggestions, until you reply STOP. Your phone number and text-messaging consent are never shown to other members and are not sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. We share them only with the service providers that deliver our texts and host our data, and only to operate Luna.

Who can see what

Phone numbers stay in authentication and private handoff records. Your profile preferences are private. Current group members can see first names, optional photos and group messages. Public plans include titles, times, public venues, host first names, costs, and aggregate attendance. Uploaded profile and event photos are public; do not upload sensitive images.

SMS handoffs

When you text Luna, it may pass a name, interests, and a recommended plan or proposed public place into the website through an opaque link that expires after 24 hours. Personal context is returned only after the matching phone number is authenticated. Link previews do not consume the invitation.

Retention and deletion

Member chat access ends when the plan starts. The conversation is marked as archived after 24 hours and retained privately for authorized moderation. No automatic message deletion is enabled. Account deletion removes the phone authentication account, profile, RSVPs, uploads, and handoff claims; hosted upcoming plans are cancelled. Authored chat text is replaced by anonymous removal notices. Moderation records may be retained without account identifiers, and report text may still contain information supplied by its author. Database backups may retain data until their configured retention period expires.

Your choices

Edit your profile, block users, control optional reminders, sign out, or explicitly delete your account in Profile. Reply STOP to any Luna text to stop receiving texts. Session credentials are stored on your device to keep you signed in. Handoff cookies and temporary onboarding context support the signup journey. No advertising tracking is added by this app.
